‘WHW training weekend’ on 25th / 26th January 2013 at the Oak Tree Inn, Balmaha

One of the many challenging aspects of this race is how to train for a 95mile race over rough terrain.

There is no 'one training plan to suit all' but over the years many runners have worked out some good principles of what works for them.

We have asked a number of runners from the fastest to the slowest to share some of the lessons they have learnt. Hopefully they will help others to work what what's best for them.

If you would like to contribute please send your ideas to johnkynaston@westhighlandwayrace.org

and we will add them to this list.
