My first Ultra was in the 100k at the Perth Ultrafest in 2010 and this is my 2nd attempt at the West Highland Way Race.

 

Hopefully it will be second time lucky this year.   

 

I had big ideas last year about completing the SUMS but my transition from road running to off road running didn't go according to plan and hence was plagued by injury. My highlight though was finishing the Cateran Trail Ultramarathon, a great event in itself.

 

I'm from Dumfries & Galloway and a member of Annan & District Athletics Club.

 

Sensible head on this year, less races, more training and stay injury free.
