In 2005 I took part in the Caledonian Challenge and as I went across Rannoch Moor I was amazed at the people I saw running the WHW race in the other direction. One stopped to wish us good luck and I knew then I wanted to be part of that race someday.

 

After completing the DOTH in 2007, I had three consecutive years of doing the WHW race 2008-2010. The first year, I had to withdraw at Kinlochleven injured, but the other two times I finished and the goblets are my prize possessions.

 

I took 2011 off to concentrate on UTMB but this year I'm back for another go and really looking forward to it.

 

My hope is to finish and my main aim is to smile all the way to Fort William!
