At the start of 2011 the furthest I had ever ran was 10k!!! 

After deciding to raise funds for Yorkhill in memory of my twin sons - my brother Jeff and I decided to take on a BIG challenge and entered the Fling with only 4 months to train...!

Finishing an ultra was supposed to be a ONE OFF...but we caught the running bug! Our wives hate us now as all we ever do is run or talk about running! We thrive now on the freedom of tanking about local trails in all weather and coming home manky :)

 

Absolutely delighted to get the chance to run the WHW - which for us will be the ultimate challenge/achievement - looking forward to pushing ourselves to the limit and to the fantastic camaraderie we have found among other ultra runners.
