Marathontalk podcast competition

Postby jkynaston » Thu Jan 26, 2012 11:13 am

I was listening to marathontalk podcast today and they have this fun thing where people log their planned runs and then record if they do them. So if you plan to run 4 times a week and you do you score 100% and if you miss one your percentage goes down to 75% etc.

They have teams and I thought it would be fun to have a West Highland Way Race group. We’ve missed January which is called Jantastic but we could get a group together to do Febulous and Marchvellous.

So if you want to join us all you have to do is go to http://www.marathontalk.com/ and if you aren’t a member register. As part of the registration when asked to join a team scroll down to West Highland Way Race and join us.

Then follow the links to Jantastic where you can state how many times a week you plan to run and for each week in February you can record your planned longest run.

You have to record the previous week’s runs by 8am on the Tuesday of the following week. The week goes from Monday to Sunday.

If you have any questions please ask!! Leave a message if you join!

So come on let’s show the running world that West Highland Way Runners go further and are the most committed!!!!!

my goals are pipsqueak to some of the others in the team, I have a long run this week (done already) of 8 miles, someone else is planning 50! I am a little intimidated enough though I can tell myself I'm being sensible re coming back from injury
