whw podcast episode 1

Postby jkynaston » Wed Jan 18, 2012 5:23 pm

I have recorded episode 1 of the West Highland Way Podcast! Bear with me as it was an experiment to see if I could manage it! With some help from Marco I have created an rss feed which seems to work.

So if you want to listen to it here is the link ....

http://www.westhighlandwayrace.org/podcast/whw.xml

I'm trying to upload it to itunes but not sure if it's there yet.

But you can load it onto iTunes and then sync with your iphone, ipod etc by going to iTunes - Advanced - Subsrcibe to Podcast ... put in http://www.westhighlandwayrace.org/podcast/whw.xm - click okay and it should download!

Can you post a comment if it works or you have problems?

John your 2nd link is missing the l at the end.

you might want to recode it with a different codec, the RSS feed is claiming the file is 1.2gig and unless your mp3 is as long as its takes the average finnisher to do the race this is too big. should be less than 100mb

Hi John,

Tried listening to the pod cast although unable, This is what the message says, I might need to download something not to computer friendly, message - This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Norry if you right click on this link http://www.westhighlandwayrace.org/podcast/episode1.mp3 and save the file to your computer you can play it from there
