The Route

You can take a journey along the route by way of a 3D projection of a 1-25000 scale OS map of the West Highland Way. The route is marked by green diamonds. (some sections have a red line, this is not entirely accurate, please use the green diamonds for guidance)

The Checkpoints are marked (please note that due to logistics or restrictions, sometimes checkpoints are changed, obviously runners are notified well in advance of any changes well in advance) on the map as are distances in kilometres.

This project is in 4 Parts, the files should open in Windows Media Player. The biggest file is around 4MB so it should play within a minute for anyone with a broadband connection.
The film quality is not exceptional but you do get the idea of the journey, 95 miles in around 6 minutes even quicker than Jez! If any movie wizards can improve this concept get in touch!
If you 'right click' on each link and choose 'save target as' you can save movie files on your hard drive which means that the movie clip should play smoother.
